Credit Cards-A Devil?!

This picture represents my point of view of my research.

Credit card is a service provided by Commercial banks

The Interesting fact of this card is that it allows it's users to purchase goods and services which they are only required to pay back at the end of the month.

YOU MUST KNOW!!

You are given the opportunity to only pay back the minimum amount preset by the bank.

OF COURSE!! Your debt does not vanish; it accumulates with an interest rate.

Two event inspired me to carry out a research on credit card:

Poor Management of Credits-----> Late-2000s Recession

RM50 per Card, per year charge by Malaysian Government

Therefore, the purpose of my research is to determine whether credit cards are helping people (Working adults & Students) by allowing deficit spending

Putting them into more debts

The results actually surprised me!!

The Malay Mail had reported the number of bankruptcy due to credit card debt in Malaysia

IS DECREASING

Through the social research conducted, the result shows:

95% of the respondents are aware of their credit card limit.

60% of respondent said that they are aware of the interest rate.

The reason stated are that they plan their expenses well and they always settle all outstanding amount at the end of each month.

Interesting reasons: Not able to settle debt-----> GUILT

A shocking of 80% of respondent pays their balance in full in the end of the month.

This proves that the debts in credit cards are quickly cleared to avoid it from growing

But this is somehow contrasting with an interview made with a Operation Manager of a Bank.

She said that there are about 2/3 of people who only pay back the minimum amount at the end of the month.

In Conclussion

The thesis had been proven wrong =(

(Credit cards are putting people into more debts - EVIL!!)

The statistics and the opinion of the public had shown that credit cards are truely helping the people by allowing deficit spending. The decrease in Malaysia's bankruptcy had, without a doubt proven that credit are putting lesser and lesser people into trouble.

Sorry people.. Had been so busy that i had no time to blog..
Thou I have 12 drafts of essay to do,
But bcos i think about you all, then I take time to blog..
I good right?! haha..

Well, Sometimes i just donno why I have to move out from JB..
I mean, I could have studied in Sunway JB or Singapore what..
Somewhere near home where I have home-cook food to eat..
Where I don't have to do my laundry also.. hehe..
How does it feel when you have to leave behind what you have build,
And then you come to a new place,
and have to rebuild everything without mentioning a word of your pass?!
I am scarped off anything that is from JB..
I could not go for SAB IU day,
My family is going for a vacation tomorrow (August 8)
and i can't go.. Bcos just nice my holidays are next week,
and not this...
Then I can't help out in the New ConnerStone camp by Clara Bcos just nice my holidays are ONE week before the camp... (Sorry Clara)
One more!! Steve ask me to go for Asian Youth Day in.. I donno where..
But it just nice clashes with my Finals.. SO sad right?!

But, I guess God has a mission for me here..
Its like, I have to come here and learn something..
Everything was pointing towards KL..
So I accepted.. and here I am..

Well, KL is not that bad know..

Last week, I went for a choir concert..
The Lisbon Chamber Choir from Portugal
They were fantastic wei!!
The best choir I've ever heard!!
Then Yesterday (August 6)
Xandra Ooi, who is the Alumni of CIMP came to give us a talk!!
Who is she?
She was the host for Miss Asia and she has her own program!!
So look up to her wei!!
My dream is to be the next Ryan Seacrest!!
I got a picture with her too man!!

And Yesterday was also CIMP's Head Gear day!!
Most of us came to class with something on our heads..
I wore A swimming cap..

But only a few came and take picture..
Throw up your head gear!!
CIMP is the most fun and awesome course wei..
It has a lot of theme days and the classes are fun!!
Everyday, my class will start at 11am and end at 4pm..
How cool is that?! haha..

After following the Lords way-That is to come to KL,
Everything has been smooth for me..
Every weekends takes care of itsselve..
Actually I have to pass up 12 essay drafts Yesterday!!
But I was sick, down with heavy flu and cough..
i could not do any homework bcos I was very sick..
But just nice Yesterday's class turned into Xandra's talk show and today no class..
So due date got delayed to Monday..
YAY!!

I really miss my friends from JB..
from 15 August onwards, I have 9 days holiday!!
Will be going back to JB..

Man, I love college..

Hey guys, I am finally in college d.. Woohoo!!
I check in to my hostel on Saturday.. Boy was that night a tough night to go through..
My room mate wasn't around.. And i was unsure of what to do.. Bcos i am living in the ground floor, there's a lot of mosquitoes!! So i shut the door and i shut the windows.. but as the night goes by, the room got more and more stuffy to a point where i couldn't sleep!!
Then the 2nd night.. Lucky thing my room mate came back from Holidays in Langkawi.. He's a totally cool dude la.. He's from the South Pacific.. I donno which country.. Dad's a Malaysian Chinese and mum is a..... I donno either.. but he's mix too.. just like me!! haha.. We talk throughout the night and it was great..

The first day of orientation..
Went pretty well.. first i registered.. then the guy wrote for me a classroom which i have to find.. Then I waited for Zeke..(The only guy I know that is also attending CIMP) Then we sat out to find out respective class room.. but then soon i realize that the guy wrote a wrong class for me.. He wrote "SE-G-14" which means South East blog, Ground floor, room 14.. But on the ground floor there's only until 8!! By then it was too late.. we had to go for the orientation d.. Then in the hall, it was all talks and talks and talks.. couldn't really remember everything but I tried.. haha.. The highlight was when the speaker that gave the H1N1 talk.. He was suppose to say "suck your thumb" but by the slip of the tongue he said "Suck your cock!!" Man, me and Zeke was laughing like hell wei.. Then after that it was English Placement test.. Boy, this English test was tough wei!! SPM is NOTHING compared to this test..The Objective was tougher than the eaasy.. immagine that!! Then for the essay, we had to write 500 words!! What a way to start college wei!! Haha..

Today, the 2nd day of Orientation..
One word to discribe.. Awesome.. we only had briefing from 10am to 11am, then after that, it was all Fun outdoor activity until 3.30pm!! And I made a few friends la.. Some from Iran, China, Indonesia.. The First activity is like, they gave us 20 location, and we need to snap a picture of it!! It was a bit tiring to run around the whole college.. But still fun thou..

Tomorrow will be the first day in class.. Am looking forward to every single day in college.. And don't worry friends, I'll update my blog so that we can know whats going on in each others life.. You all update it too ya..

I believe a lot of people have blog about the death of our very own King of Pop. Well, so I won't blog about how he died and how much he has contribute to the entertainment world.. But I would just like to share with you the Golden lesson that we can learn from the life of MJ..

Last time, whenever we hear about MJ, we would laugh and joke about him and his nose and how he would melt when he is hot..
There's even a joke where this kid ask his mum,
Boy : Mum, is God a man or woman??
Mum : Nope.. God is not man nor woman..
Boy : Hmm.. then is God black or white??
Mum : Son, God is not black nor white either..
Boy : Then is God Michael Jackson?!?

Thou we all always laugh at him, did you all realize that what kind of life did Michael Jackson lived?! The King of Pop just could not accept who he really was.. in another words, he could not accept HIMSELF.. He could not accept that he was bore a black.. Lets look at this picture of MJ before he went through any plastic surgery..

There was indeed a dramatical change in his looks..

White.. And when I say Evil, you would straight away imagine Black.. Now, who ever told you that white is pure and black is evil?!

The lesson to learn from the life of MJ is, we got to accept who we really are.. Do not change or try to be somebody else.. Just be yourself and stay the same.. As Martin Jalil says, Don't change, unless you're changing for the better.. Bcos if you don't love yourselve, then how can you ever love others?!

The media world will always influence us in many ways to look "perfect". But hey, everybody will grow old one day.. If someone loves you for how you look, what happens when everything start sagging downwards?! haha.. is he/she still gonna love you then?!

Had a awesome night with my pals la..
actually while planning this, I was worried not many will come bcos i planned it too last minute.. but end up, 13 of them came!! its was more than i expected!!
The guys, Chin song, Sean Yap, Ker Yun, Weng Zhe, Yee Chong, Ting Kang, Wesley, Phang Shuai,
And the girls, Xue Nee, Janine, Tracy Lim, Yolanda and Cyndy..
Thank you all for making this day, A very memorable day for me..
First we went to a new shop in cs called "Ke ren Lai" and we orded dishes..
we had to order everything to be served in biggest portion!!
But when the food came, I donno whether to laugh or to cry..
It was only enough for like 5 person to eat!!
OMG.. So everybody ate just to tahan the stomach.. then after that, we decided to eat a hawker behind Omega for 2nd round.. and we enjoyed the food in hawker more than in cs..
Wasted la.. but it was a.. Funny experience thou..
Then i also enjoyed chatting with them.. well, i guess this may be the last time to enjoy SAB Class mate's Jokes.. we talk about how Ting Kang brought $1800 to singapore and a dog named Kah(Chun Kan).. and how Kah's phone got...... Ahen.. So?!
Haha!! ps: Linda didn't give me a hug.. sob sob..

Well, Comfirmation camp is tomorrow.. Christine(The OC), Rachel, me, Vanessa Lee, Faustine, Melissa Chang, Alvin Tan, Felix, Marcus and Marc are gonna be the fercilitators of the camp..
And we only started planning this like 2 weeks before the camp!! And in this team.. there're mostlt newbees!! Only me, Christine and Rachel are Seniors, and Vanessa, Semi senior.. hehe.. But i believe This team will do great.. I leave this team is God's hands.. and hopes this camp will go in His way.. Thou hick ups will happen, but we'll try to cover each other up k..

Although they scold you, they whack you, but actully love you very much...The love of friends, where they'll try their best to be there for ya, and we love our friends including their weakness.. Then comes the most complicated one, which is the Boy-Girl Relationship love.. (This is the part you all have been waiting for right?! haha) I would say, Love is proven by actions, never words.. to me, before you enter into love, you will first go through the like stage.. Some call it Puppy love.. But I would say, For me,i think stat love can be cultivated and builded.. Of course I still believe in Love at first sight la.. But I usually use my brain first before using my heart.. Bcos whoever my brain chooses, my heart will usually accept.. USUALLY a.. haha.. Love is a responsibility.. And I think cheating in love, is a BIG waste of time, money and energy!! Finally, I would say, Love is a very special gift from God..

Hey, just wanna share something since i really who to talk to about this..
First of all, when I am free, I am bored to death, till I nearly go insane and turn emo;
And when I am Busy, WOW!! everything just keep flowing in till i am so distracted..
I am having an Insurance exam tomorrow (Saturday),
I got 2 text book to study, taking 2 papers,
and until now, I left one more book haven't touch yet..
As I plan before, this week, I am suppose to only concentrate on this exam..
But end up, so many things caught up..
I have to settle this, have to settle that,
my twin bro is leaving,
Bro's having exams too,
Cousin started tuition with me too this week,
Weekend mass have to prepare although I am not playing,
Song list need to be done..
Its not that I am complaining about all this,
I do love to do all those stuff,
But, I am not superman,nor a man with 48 hours a day..
How I wish sometimes, I have other people's unused-productively hours..
Nearly gave up on it..
But then suddenly as i was chatting with one of my junior(Chloe Foo),

And Stacey also started talking to me about Tar College and Mass com stuff,
Challenging me of the decision I made that is to go Sunway KL and do A foundation..
As both of us are interested in the same field and that is Mass Com,
Then she told me why her choice was to do it in TarC,
And I thought to myself, Hey, Its a pretty good deal too!!
I mean, although I've registered and paid some small fees to Sunway d,
But if I can find a cheaper alternative for my parents,
Why not?
So for tomorrow, I've to think deeply and carefully.. And of course, asking my parent's advice about this..
Well, just writing my thoughts here,
Don't really know what I am writing at 4am the day before my exam.. hehe..
I am still up because I am high of caffeine and cant seem to sleep..

Mothers Day..

Well, today Its mothers day!! Happy mothers day to all the mothers and the mothers to be!! And that is you(except guys..)!! haha..

I would just like to share on opinion with all of you.. I hope you won't take this as a slap at your face, But just to ponder about.. When mothers day and fathers day comes, everybody gets very excited.. You'll hug your mum and dad and kiss them, Wishing them.. Treating them for makan and as I, too went for a mothers day makan, all the makan shops were all fully packed!! Had to wait for an hour or more just to eat and the food would cost a boom!! But, what do we do all this for? Is basically to make mothers happy! You would answer me.. But, Mother's day and Fathers day is not suppose to happen on one day!! Everyday is suppose to be Mothers day and Everyday is suppose to be Fathers day.. Like my dad challenge us, "Is it that only this day you will make your mother happy? Or only go back to see your mum on this day?!" NO! we should always try to make our parents happy.. Try not to make them sad or angry.. Of course, I am not saying that you should not treat them on this comocialised occassion, in fact, you should!! But we should live this occassion EVERYDAY.. And this would me a reminder for me and you to always try our best to be good sons and daughters..

A new hair cut

This was my hair before,

all messy and long..
That every strand of my hair donno where to lay and rest..
And the tip of the long ones,

So I decided to go and cut..
And since my hair was long,
I wanted a new hair style!!
A new look..
And so I went to a new place to cut too!!

Bcos he's my friend's bf..

I planned an outing with some church people in cs to catch Wolverine..
Maxis was also doing an expo of iPhone on that day..
Then just before the movie, Stacey suddenly called me,
And she told me that Maxis needed help in the events,
and wanted me to helped out (Work la)
Their pay was Great man.. Half day RM50, Full day RM100!!
I was to work for one half day and two full day!!
And that would earn me RM250!!
At first I agreed to Stacey,
It was difficult to find the boss,
Then suddenly it prompted,
I am playing for Youth mass on Saturday!!
At first I was like.. Aww man..
But then suddenly I thought,
No, I have committed to play,
So i will play.. And I denied the Job..

God was indeed testing me on my commitments!!

There was another occasion,
I don't think I did share with anyone before..
It was in year 2007
My school sign for this TEEN EXPLORER by RTM Malaysia,
And serious shit!! I got chosen!!
And the program will be filmed live in November!!
I get to be on TV!! It was my dream man!!
Why?? Why is there always a 'BUT' in this world......
Well, but then......
I was involve in Planning the THIRTEEN APOSTLE'S Camp!!
We started planning in June..
I was even harder to choose then..
But then, I set my principles, and follow..
Since I've committed to this church camp FIRST,
I'll do the camp.. so I called TEEN EXPLORER and told them that I........
And I thought all my problems were over and could concentrate on planing the camp..
But then, They(TEEN EXPLORER) gave me more hell!!
They practically called my school and told them that I have denied the ONCE IN A LIFETIME opportunity!! And my teachers was furious and tried to convince me..
But then I told them my stand la.. And they were like, ok, your choice la..
I think i did make the right choice, If you think I didn't, please comment and tell me why.. haha..
Bcos its the same concept like marriage,
Once you make the commitment, you don't change..
You have to be loyal, in good times and bed times.. Oh!! I mean, Bad times.. haha..
In sickness and in health,
until death do us apart..
I Hope I'll be loyal to my future wife.. I donno what the future will bring,
But I'll be Loyal..
And I hope the future generation would make the right choice and be loyal to the one they choose..

For the pass few week, I've been asking around whether is there such thing called a guy's 'Hand bag' or not.. But i wasn't actually referring to a bag carried on the hand la.. but the concept.. Sometimes, all you need to carry is just a passport, or just a ear phone.. I only have big bags.. So from then on, I've been searching.. But its always too expensive.. Then today I went Plaza Pelangi with my mum.. (So that she pays right?! haha.. What you all thinking la..) And found this!! Its quite cheap, within my budget and now I own!! Hwah.. So happy and glad that I found something I needed..

Shao Yann's Birthday Bash

My dear lovely lil sister, Shao Yann has officially turn 18 yesterday(21 April)!!
Charmaine, Ker Yun and me had to cross the bridge, over the sea to celebrate.. (Bcos she was in Singapore)
We left around 4 something, a bit late.. (ok ok.. everything blame ME!! What oh!!)
Then we bought the cake from cs, and I had to hold it, in my hand, and cross the course way..
Before going into the CIQ, we drop by F.O.S. to say Hi to Chun Yap.
At first the guard wouldn't let us in(bcos I was caring the cake), then i told the guard "Bukan Bom La!!" Then only he let us in.. ( Ok, I know, That was lame......)
And off we go......

We met Shao Yann in Woodlands Causeway Point.. I think.. By then, we got to know that the other three big shots, that is Chin Song, Wei Nian & Soo Cheng haven't arrive!! What Oh?! (But its ok la.. they had class..)
Well, Shao Yann was the only one with us.. And we 3 happilly bullied her Physically and mentally... Muahaha..

Aww.. Sooooo Cute.....

Then Ker Yun and Charmaine started telling her Stories of our journey here, of course, it was made up.. And Poor Shao Yann believed..
The story went like that:

Bcos we wanted to bring the cake over to Singapore, we were taxed $50 and had to sit in the office, that's why we were late!!

I kept laughing until my cheek were paining!! (I am bad in lying la.. Sorry guys)
Then we said we had no more money bcos we paid the 'tax' and wanted Yann to pay for our dinner, and as she got bullied, I swear, she nearly wanted to cry!! lol..

After an hour of bullying, the 3 big shot finally came.. That is Chin Song, Wei Nian 5 Soo Cheng..
We ate in MOS Burger.. After eating, we wanted to cut the cake in MOS too, But all of us felt wierd.. Bcos like in Malaysia, in any makan place, its normal to suddenly see and hear people singing Happy Birthday song.. But in Singapore....... Erm....... I don't think they do that stuff.. I donno correct me of I am wrong.. So we had to find a secluded place like this.......

Then suddenly, Chin Song grap told of Yann's hand and proclaim that they were together!! (Of course, It wasn't true la)
But although it was just "play play, Look at Yann's face!!

Ok this part, I think I'll be honest and write la k.. I won't hide anything..
Then we had this "Feed mouth to mouth" request..
As Yann can only choose a guy.. And there were only 4 of us..
And playfully, the other 3(except me) kept saying 'Pick me'!! I was quiet la..
But finally, to my surprised, she picked me!! (I think bcos mummy said I was the only trust worthy one who will not do anything stupid to her)
Then Charmaine held the knive..
I bite the cake first, the cake that stuck out of my mouth was only less then 5cm!!
I knew what they were gonna do la.. But how to avoid?!
Then Yann Came nearer..
Once she bit the cake, everyone sqeeze both of our head together!!
The force was so great!! Me and Yann Was like Head-to-head, then nose-to-nose,
Then we TAHAAAAAAAAAAN!! Luckily, we didn't have a mouth-to-mouth!!
The cake was still in ONE PIECE!! Thank God..
(But at that moment, I blushed...... I felt I suddenly like her......)
Na, I was kidding.. (watched too much Singapore drama d..) lol..

But as we were about to leave, I felt very.. sad la, as we were about to leave each other, everybody going their own separate way.. we were friends form at least 5 donkey years.. But i guess this is another stage of life we have to go through.. I miss all of you.. I hope, we will stay in touch and still be close to each other.. A Battle of Paintballs!!

Hey Guy..
Ok, before telling about my awesome experience of Paintball, let me just ask for your comment about something.. Yesterday, in my Facebook I wrote:

Melvin Shawn D'Silva Had An awesome day of Paintball!! It was Damn stimulating.. I wonder how much more it can be on a real life and death battle field..

And some commented:

I used the word "stimulating". is there something wrong with that word?! Does it sound dirty? Please comment..

Ok, Back to what I Promised you.. The Paintball experience.. Here are some pictures.. Enjoy..

Chin Song, Phang, Ker Yun, Xue Nee, Charmaine, Janine, Chuan Yao, Yee Kee, Gan, KL zai(Yee Chong) and me met in Danga City Mall at about 2pm.. And I tell you, oh boy, its an EMPTY PLACE!! Had a lot of shop, but the only problem is, there's no people! anyway, We went there bcos the entertainments were cheap.. Exp. Bowling for RM4, Archery(12 arrows) for RM5 a game of Snooker for RM2 ect.. So we played paintball RM40.. Not very cheap thou.. But we wanted an experience of it.. As we had 11 People, Chin Song and Charmaine didn't wanna play. Chin Song(the one with purple colour t) wanted to save money for poly(donno how true was that or maybe for dating?!?), and Charmaine(white t) basically just didn't wanna play.. After persueding the 2 to play, we gave up.. Xue Nee(black t) felt cheated that Charmaine was not playing and that was her face.. just look at her face.. so sour.. lol..

Ok, Before the game started, Both team actually agreed to only Shoot Xue Nee bcos she was the only girl playing.. lol..
First game, we played the flag, whichever team that got the flag, WINS!! So when the siren rang, My team moved forward.. and Phang Slip and fell.. lol.. the war begun.. we were suppose to take the flag, but we end up killing everyone from the black team.. BLUE TEAM WON!

The 2nd game, we changed sides. I ran into the castle and slip and fell!! lol.. Wei Nian was The Hero.. He ran up the castle and grap the Flag.. Blue Team Won again!! (2-0)

The 3th game, we diceded to play Invade opponent's Base.. We were all very agresive.. This time, Xue Nee was more brave.. But for Phang, the funny thing is, he gave a lot of blind shots.. His gun came out shooting but his face was hiding.. How to get accurate shots like that oh?! Anyway In other blogs, they say he was a Lau su(Mouse), in English, we would say chicken la.. but i think I'll be good and not say he was.. OPS!! did I just say....... lol.. I was with Xue Nee on the left this time.. I only notice Xue Nee bcos she was the smallest.. hehe.. Then i notice, the black team only had a survivor.. So i move forward as my team mates were attacking him from the right.. Then suddenly The black team's gun had problem. So the ref pause the game and helped him with his Marker. I cought hold of that time and noticed the position of my opponent.. when the game resume, i ran towards him and we had an open battle, I shot him first while he turn.. and rang the siren, and Blue Team wins again!! (3-0)

The 4rd game, In this battle, I guess we were over confident. Nobody defended.. Most of my team were in the side of our opponent, But they defended very well.. I admit, I was over Confident too.. I had another open battle with Chuan Yao from the black team, I ran out and shot him from the back, But Not knowing, someone too shot me from my back.. And I died.. Although I was Shot first, I was still Shooting Chuan Yao!! Argh!! But fianlly, we lost.. Unknowingly, Yee Kee invaded our base and press the siren.. Nobody saw him!! Black team Win.. (1-3)

The 5th Battle.. I Moved with Xue Nee this time again.. but We got caught in the middle left, where the fog marchine was.. We didn't die, but we couldn't see a thing.. Then I hide in a place and check, Shit!! after some shootoing, I am only left with 5 bullets, then i started picking the ones on the floor.. And I was the last to move forward.. In this game, it was funny too.. I saw a head behind the box.. so i kept shooing, and it did hit!! Then suddenly i saw, it was actually the refree.. (-_-) In this game we won.. Donno how, but my team mates killed all of our opponent.. And Blue team Won (4-1)

After that we came out.. we were all wet!! (sweating la) And it was damn hot in the suit. The bullet that hit us all gave us blue black.. but i think Yee Chong Kena the most la.. Poor him... Although Its expansive, But i think it was worth the experience la.. Janine took all the photos.. Indeed, it was a Stimulating and fantastic experience.. Sweet memories of my high school friends..
